Allokay: Family Safety, by Workaholic Developers.

In an emergency, call your local emergency number. Allokay tells your circle; it does not call emergency services.

Getting started

• Create a circle: open Allokay, add your name and colour, and tap Create a circle. You become its admin.
• Invite people: in the Circle tab tap Invite, choose adult or child, and share the 6-digit code or link. It works for 7 days.
• Join a circle: tap Join with a code and type the code, or open the invite link on your phone.

Location is not updating

• Allow location Always (iPhone: Settings, Allokay, Location, Always and Precise Location on; Android: Settings, Apps, Allokay, Permissions, Location, Allow all the time).
• Keep Background App Refresh on (iPhone) and turn off battery optimisation for Allokay (Android: Settings, Apps, Allokay, Battery, Unrestricted).
• Check that sharing is not paused (Settings, Sharing).
• The app's Phone check screen in Settings shows what is missing.

Alerts and check-ins

• Choose which alerts you get, and set quiet hours, in Settings, Notifications. SOS, ring, missed check-ins, overdue trips and "phone not reporting" always come through, even during quiet hours.
• Set your daily check-in window in the Safety tab. If you miss it, Allokay reminds you at the end of the window and tells your circle 30 minutes later.

Privacy

• Who can see me (Settings) lists everyone who can see your location, in every circle.
• Pause sharing, or share an approximate location with a circle, in Settings, Sharing.
• Children under the child safety lock need a parent's PIN to leave, pause or change precision; "pause" becomes a request a parent can approve.

New phone or reinstall

Use your recovery code (Settings, Recovery code) on the new phone: tap I already have an account and type it. Keep the code somewhere safe; we cannot recover an account without it.

Delete your account

Settings, Delete account. Your account and history are deleted immediately. To remove only one circle, use Leave circle in the Circle tab.
